Great variety for Mediterranean-type climates. Burren is a long-oval potato with shallow eyes, good drought resistance and good storage capability. It is very high yielding and produces larger crops compared with Spunta. This variety has susceptibilty to potato cyst nematode Globodera rostochiensis Ro1 and potato cyst nematode Globodera pallida Pa2/3,1. Test show resistance to Potato leafroll virus and potato virus Yo.
